Create Raving Fans In Under 5 Minutes

Hello, My Friends,

I know many of you are gearing up for your Fall & Xmas shows all over the country, as I did for so many years. It’s a time of anticipation, excitement and a lot of hard work. A time when you get to show your skill and brilliance to the world in a  place with live people.

I know your hopes and DREAMs,
I have the same ones as you do.

  • You want to be recognized for your talent
  • Earn an income
  • Have fun at what you are doing
  • Meet and serve people
  • Maybe even replace the job that you know is holding you back from reaching your full potential and ultimate hearts desires.

Being an entrepreneur is a tough road because you have soooo much to do and soooo many hats to wear, not to mention the 100’s of vendors you are in competition with each and every show for each and every customer.

So how do you stay in their mind,
become top of mind status and become unforgettable to your patrons?

We are all taught to stick out our hand and introduce ourselves immediately upon meeting someone, aren’t we? It’s something I learned as a young child and have taught my children as well. Then Make eye contact and if its women(and you are) place your left hand over their hand while your hands are grasping if you feel a bond with them. I believed this was a fail-proof way to conduct myself most of my life. So why weren’t people remembering me?

Research has shown that we remember things best (especially ladies ) if there is some sort of an emotional anchor attached to it. Crazy as it sounds, I can remember what I ate for dinner 30 years ago when it was a memorable and emotional occasion. Can you?

I am not suggesting that you throw the old ways to the wind, I am suggesting that you just do it a little different. Instead of introducing your self immediately, go ahead and start up that conversation  and after you find out a little about them say,
“ I am sorry, did I introduce myself?” “ I am Nancy, and what ‘s your name?”  Usually, 3-5 minutes of engaging conversation will be a sufficient amount of time to cultivate the common ground and make a connection.

So why not give it a try and develop raging fans for life?  Everybody wants to be appreciated and feel like you care. People don’t really care how much you know, but they want to know how much you care!

Have a Blessed and Prosperous Holiday!

Nancy Olliver
